In Vikings, Lagertha is the queen of Denmark who was raised to be a shield-maiden, but became a highly regarded warrior in her own right. She has a tumultuous marriage with Ragnar Lothbrok, a fierce viking warrior who leaves with their son to pillage distant lands while she is left to care for their daughter.
Lagertha wears garb typical of a viking warrior. She is often depicted wearing a blue or brown tunic, with brown leggings and leather shin and arm guards. For protection, she wears a chain mail shirt and an armored vest. In battle, Lagertha uses a viking broadsword and a large wooden shield. She is also known for her braided blonde locks.
